The Quick Wit Stitches philosophy: Keep it simple & raise a smile

Keep it simple – limited colours, limited size

ALL Quick Wit Stitches patterns are made using a palette of only 15 colours – and most individual patterns use many fewer. We have chosen the following DMC threads but feel free to choose different tints (there are lots) or use what you have:

ALL Quick Wit Stitches have a maximum size of 50 x 50 stitches – and many are smaller. This means they are fast to complete and (combined with a limited colour palette) means you don’t need lots of materials.

All our patterns are designed by us, by hand – usually starting with some squared paper and a quirky idea. Our aim is to create designs that bring a little joy, whether that’s satisfaction from the finished item or the inherent pleasure in sitting down with fabric and thread.
